How Does The Parent Subsidy Affect Kidsland Families?
As of January 2022, the qualifying income for Child Care Subsidy has increased to $179,999, making additional support available to more families who have young children not yet attending Grade 1.
To further lower fees to families who need it most, subsidy rates and qualifying incomes have been adjusted, along with operational grants to childcare programs. Therefore, more Albertans are eligible for childcare subsidy.
Families with Children not yet in Grade 1, meet other Child Care Subsidy eligibility criteria and earn a gross household income under $180,000 can apply for childcare subsidy starting January 2022.
